Live off path.

How are you different than you were a year ago? Are you happier? 

It's almost embarrassing how unsatisfied I am with the college lifestyle. 

I go to class solely to hear my professor's personal stories, they are the most beneficial part of my education.

Besides due to having lived more, I do not feel more able to help others then I was before these four years of school.  

School does not make a person better fit to work.  It cannot not make someone burn with curiosity or a desire for change.  Your classes won't teach you how to find fulfillment, they may in fact do the opposite.  They may channel you into thinking academic performance is the largest indicator of your abilities.  You may start thinking you'll be without success if you fail to meet the standard.  College is where the formation of identical, unsatisfied Americans begins.  See the game never changes, just instead of letter grades it's money.  One quantitative scale that is supposed to be synonymous with achievement. 

Although I am making our world to be terribly constricting, I am not without gratitude or faith in it.  Gratitude for all the artists, advocates, scientists, teachers, humans who came before me.  The ones that were brave enough not only to make their own way and give up security for passion, but to share their stories proudly. So people like us know there are greats to live up to.

And Faith, I have faith that there are enough questioning, searching hearts out there that we will find our paths, we will find purpose and we will find each other in the process.

If there are any young people reading this please learn from my mistakes, do not have faith that systems will lead you to opportunity.  Only you, your very hands and minds can discover what mission you will live for, what will make you burn to push past comfort.

but please, oh please, do not feel incomplete if you cannot define your mission yet, or never fully can, this is a journey after all.  As everyday you learn more about yourself and more about the world, you'll at least know what direction to take you're next couples steps.  And when you do arrive, it will be for a reason.
